TRAVEL PHOTOGRAPHY: One mans word sealed buy a ceremonial dance (with the village chief) and a tribal handshake – what a great way show the world how it's done.
Last year, long time friend and good guy Nev, called me up one day to tell me about a project he was pretty stocked about, he was exploring recycling techniques of plastics. Eventually, this developed into a way of providing sustainable building products that are versatile enough to be used to build houses. Passionate and personally committed, Nev formed NEV HOUSE and has begun to provide solutions for the homelessness epidemic that effects us globally. Communities that were living hell on earth now have a holistic solution that brings hope and a brighter future to their lives.
After connecting flights, I arrived on Tanna Island Vanuatu, where a truck was organised to take us to Enkatala Village where the ceremony was about to start. My mission was to document this journey over the next couple of days. People, dignitaries, tribes, kids, chiefs, surfing, housing, pigs, chook's and a volcano.
