Where Water Finds Its Weight

The swell arrived with a presence that seemed to exceed the horizon that carried it. Sets rose from deep water with unusual urgency, drawing across the reef in long, powerful lines before gathering themselves into something heavier. The surface darkened and thickened. Energy moved through the bay in visible pulses, each wave carrying a sense of momentum that could not be measured until it revealed itself.

The frame narrows attention to the folding lip and the dense interior of the barrel, where light filters through layers of water and exposes a surprising depth of colour. Deep greens give way to warm gold tones, while textures within the wave emerge and disappear as the water bends around itself.

Power is often recognised by what it changes, but sometimes it is revealed most clearly in a moment of perfect shape.
