The Weight of Return
The Atlantic arrives at this coastline already transformed. Swell shaped by distance, gathered and focused through one of the largest submarine canyons in the world before reaching the narrow shelf of rock. Nothing here is still. The ocean moves forward, meets resistance and returns into itself, creating a surface that never settles into a single direction.
At the point of collision, water rises against water. Incoming energy meets rebound from the cliffs, forcing the surface upward into layered forms that light passes across and separates into shadow and spray. Edges appear briefly and dissolve. Structure forms and releases.
What endures is not the shape itself, but what the light finds moving through it.
