From Snapper to Coolangatta — Cyclone Alfred, March 2025

Shafts of light pierced through a heavy sky as long lines of swell wrapped down the points from Snapper to Coolangatta. For a brief window, the ocean glowed beneath the approaching cyclone, every line and section illuminated against the darkened horizon.

There was a strange calm in the atmosphere that morning. The swell was building, the sky shifting constantly and the coastline carried the tension of something larger moving in from the open ocean.

Divine Illumination captures that rare meeting of light, weather and ocean movement, a moment where the Gold Coast appeared suspended between calm and storm.
