From the shores of Lago Grey I found myself held by the monumental presence of Torres del Paine, a landscape that feels both eternal and alive. By translating this scene into black and white I sought to distill its essence: the tonal gradations that reveal the raw architecture of the earth itself. The geological strata unfold like verses of time; each subtle shift in tone is a quiet reminder of nature’s workmanship.

Removing colour turns the frame into a meditation on form, light and texture, a dialogue between permanence and impermanence. The dramatic clouds and the peaks’ stark silhouettes create a central focal chord, where contrast and subtle mid-tones hold equal weight.

It’s a humble tribute to the great masters of monochrome, who taught us that within the restraint of black and white lies a deeper truth, where less is more.
