Ice Leap—A Return to Iceland’s Wild Beauty

I was absolutely blown away by the wild beauty of Iceland during my first trip there in the mid-'90s. The place was like nothing I’d ever seen—untamed, raw and totally captivating. Twelve years later, I found myself back, this time with Rip Curl, to test their heated wetsuits in some seriously extreme conditions.

Through my lens Ice Leap was taken at Jökulsárlón Lake, right on the edge of Vatnajökull National Park—a place where the frozen landscape meets the ocean in a clash of pure, rugged energy.
