A solo surfer takes on a powerful wave in the remote Southern Ocean, surrounded by open water and the shifting energy of an empty lineup.

In places like this, surfing becomes quieter and more internal. No crowds, no distractions and very little certainty beyond the next wave approaching through the horizon. The experience is shaped as much by isolation and instinct as it is by the act of riding the wave itself.

The pull of the ocean continues to outweigh the unknown. It always does.
